Bulk delete
Bulk delete lets you terminate many users at once from a single file, instead of removing them one by one. For each user in the file it records a termination — a termination date and a reason — and moves them to the Deleted tab.
To open it, go to the Users section and click Bulk delete in the header. It is the second action, next to Import users, Export users, and Add user.

Clicking Bulk delete opens a full-screen wizard with four steps, shown in the progress bar at the top. It works just like the Import users wizard — only the final step differs, ending in Bulk delete instead of Import data.

Template
Section titled “Template”The bulk-delete file is different from the import template. Its columns are:
- E-mail — the email address that identifies which user to terminate.
- Termination Date — the date the user leaves. It must be a real Excel date value, not text.
- Termination Reason — accepts only Voluntary or Involuntary.
We recommend downloading the official template first with the Download the template in Excel link in step 1, and filling your users into it.
Step 1: Import file
Section titled “Step 1: Import file”Upload the file that lists the users to terminate. Drag it onto the area labeled Drop files here or click to upload, or click the area to choose a file from your computer.
Use the Download the template in Excel link to get a correctly formatted file to fill in.

Step 2: Select fields
Section titled “Step 2: Select fields”After the file is uploaded, a two-column mapping table appears. The left column, Opinatics Field, lists the fields used for the termination. The right column, Your file Field, has a dropdown for each one, listing the columns found in your uploaded file.
For each Opinatics Field, open the dropdown and pick the matching column from your file:
- Email address — required. It identifies which user to terminate.
- Termination date — optional.
- Termination reason — optional.

Step 3: Review values
Section titled “Step 3: Review values”A preview table shows the values that will be applied, with one column per mapped field: Email address, Termination date, and Termination reason. Check that everything is correct before continuing. If something is wrong, go back and adjust the mapping or fix your file.

Step 4: Bulk delete
Section titled “Step 4: Bulk delete”The wizard runs a validation process and then applies the terminations to the listed users. If every check passes, the users are terminated and you can close the window.
If there are problems, an error table appears instead and the process stops. Fix the issues in your file and start the bulk delete again.

Moving through the wizard
Section titled “Moving through the wizard”Use Next to go to the following step and Previous to go back. Close exits the wizard, as does the X in the top-right corner.
