Survey actions
Each survey in the list has a set of action buttons on the right of its row. The buttons are icon-only, and which ones appear depends on the survey’s Status — Active, Closed, Draft, or Archived. The sections below describe the buttons for each status.
Active survey
Section titled “Active survey”An Active survey shows three buttons:
- View Results — opens the survey’s detail and results view. See Survey details for more.
- Close — closes the survey. It stops accepting responses and its status changes to Closed.
- Clone — duplicates the survey, creating a copy as a new Draft.

Closed survey
Section titled “Closed survey”A Closed survey shows five buttons:
- View Results — opens the survey’s detail and results view. See Survey details for more.
- Edit & Relaunch survey — reopens the survey for editing and relaunching.
- Clone — duplicates the survey, creating a copy as a new Draft.
- Archive — archives the survey, moving it to the Archived tab.
- Create New Analysis — starts a new analysis based on this survey’s data.

Draft survey
Section titled “Draft survey”A Draft survey shows four buttons:
- Edit — opens the draft so you can keep editing it.
- Delete — permanently deletes the draft.
- Clone — duplicates the survey, creating a copy as a new Draft.
- Archive — archives the survey, moving it to the Archived tab.

Archived survey
Section titled “Archived survey”An Archived survey, shown in the Archived tab, has two buttons:
- View Results — opens the survey’s detail and results view. See Survey details for more.
- Move to Recent Surveys — unarchives the survey, moving it back to the Recent tab.

Cloning, closing, and deleting
Section titled “Cloning, closing, and deleting”- Cloning any survey always produces a new Draft named Copy of followed by the original survey’s title.
- Closing is reversible: you can reopen a closed survey with Edit & Relaunch survey.
- Deleting a draft is permanent and cannot be undone.
Frequently asked questions
Why do different surveys show different buttons?
The action buttons on each row depend on the survey's status: Active, Closed, Draft, or Archived.
Can I undo closing a survey?
Yes. Use Edit & Relaunch survey to reopen a closed survey. Deleting a draft, however, is permanent.
What happens when I clone a survey?
Cloning creates a new Draft named "Copy of" followed by the original title.
